President-elect Trump campaigned against the power of Wall Street in Washington. He said hedge fund managers “get away with murder.” He said he would “drain the swamp.”
Yet he nominated Steven Mnuchin, who spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street and founded his own hedge fund, to head the Department of the Treasury.
Trump’s not draining the swamp — he’s filling it.
Mnuchin is the kind of person that will put Wall Street banks and the uber-wealthy over families in Ohio and across the country. He really doesn’t belong at the Treasury Department.
I am opposing Steven Mnuchin’s nomination to be Treasury Secretary. He should be withdrawn and replaced with someone who will work for the people, not the powerful.
