Sherrod Celebrates Ukrainian Independence Day in Parma’s Ukrainian Village

PARMA, OH – This weekend, Senator Sherrod Brown joined Ohioans in Parma to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day.

“From celebrating Ukrainian independence to fighting to make sure Ukraine has the resources it needs to defend itself, I will continue to stand with Ukraine and with our robust Ukrainian community here in Ohio,” said Senator Sherrod Brown.

The campaign also released a video from Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn on what Sherrod’s work to stand up for Ukraine and Ohio’s Ukrainian community means to him.

Sherrod will always fight to ensure Ukraine has the support it needs to defend its democracy and freedom:

  • Sherrod welcomed thousands of Ukrainian war refugees to Ohio and secured investment for the Ukrainian Museum-Archives of Cleveland to document and celebrate Ukrainian stories and culture.
