COLUMBUS, OH – In a recent letter to the editor for
The Herald Star, Scott Piatt from Antioch praised Sherrod’s record of saving Ohio manufacturing jobs and “
[standing] up to unnecessary bureaucracy” to help workers. Scott highlighted the “
hundreds of Steelworkers in the Ohio Valley… [who] will have good union jobs again” because of Sherrod’s work to bring jobs back to Ohio.
Scott also notes that Sherrod has always been a dedicated fighter for Ohio workers and has produced “real results that are going to help a lot of people experience the dignity of work.” Sherrod will stand up to anyone to prevent Ohio jobs from being shipped overseas and “ensure that Ohio companies like Cleveland-Cliffs [aren’t] stopped from creating new jobs.”

- Sherrod Brown fought to ensure that Ohio companies like Cleveland-Cliffs weren’t stopped from creating new jobs because of some critically bad decisions.
- Thanks to Brown’s efforts to stand up to unnecessary bureaucracy, Cleveland-Cliffs announced that they are creating an electrical transformer manufacturing plant and bringing 600 jobs back to the area.
- Brown always has the back of Ohio workers, and working people everywhere, regardless of where they reside.
- Because of Brown’s dedication to Ohio workers, hundreds of Steelworkers in the Ohio Valley, both in Ohio and West Virginia, will have good union jobs again.
- These are real results that are going to help a lot of people experience the dignity of work and to be better enabled to support their family.
