New TV Ad: “Don’t Believe” Features Ohio Workers Admonishing False Attacks Against Sherrod, Lauding His Support For Auto Rescue & Leadership On China Trade

Secretly-Funded Special Interest Groups Have Now Spent $21.1 Million On Ads Attacking Sherrod – More Than Any Other Senate Candidate Has Faced

The Friends of Sherrod Brown campaign released a new ad today, “Don’t Believe,” featuring Ohio workers admonishing false attacks on Sherrod by Josh Mandel and his special interest friends, praising Sherrod’s leadership on the auto rescue and China currency and denouncing Josh Mandel for opposing the auto rescue and Sherrod’s efforts to protect American workers by making China play fair.

Mandel has called Sherrod “un-American” for championing the auto rescue and has come out against Sherrod’s bipartisan bill to level the playing field for American workers by cracking down on Chinese currency manipulation.

“While Josh Mandel wears Politifact Ohio’s ‘Pants on Fire crown’ with dubious pride, his special interest friends continue pouring more than $21 million into Ohio for attack ads smearing Sherrod’s record of championing the auto rescue and protecting American workers by making China play fair,” said Sadie Weiner, spokeswoman for Friends of Sherrod Brown. “Still, the contrast in this race couldn’t be clearer – Josh Mandel opposed Sherrod’s efforts to pass the auto rescue package, he opposes Sherrod’s bipartisan bill to level the playing field for American workers by cracking down on Chinese currency manipulation and he’s quite simply a politician who can’t be trusted.”
