Sherrod Brown’s statement for Rosh Hashanah

This week, friends and families around the world gather to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the Jewish New Year.

As we all pause to reflect on the past year, we must look forward to the goals we’ve set for ourselves and our communities. Ohio’s Jewish community has a long tradition of service and social action, and those traits only strengthen as the years go by. Together we can strive to make this world a better place for everyone.

I join my fellow Ohioans in celebrating the beginning of a new year and renewing the opportunity to serve our community in the best way possible.

May you all find peace and happiness in the New Year, and in the years to come.

L’Shanah Tovah – For a good New Year.
