Cleveland-based start-up Plotter, dubbed the first social network for maps, won the top award for the social technologies category Tuesday night at the annual South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas.

The company won one of six categories at the festival’s fifth annual SXSW Accelerator program, which in years past has catapulted companies like Twitter and Foursquare. Three of the four members of the Plotter team work at Recess Creative, a downtown Cleveland full-service digital marketing and advertising agency.
