Friends Of Sherrod Brown Raises $2.6 Million In Second Quarter, Reports $6.7 Million Cash On Hand
FOSB’s Best Off-Year Quarter Ever
Cash On Hand Nearly Double What Campaign Had At This Point In 2012 Election
COLUMBUS — Friends of Sherrod Brown raised more than $2.6 million in the second quarter of 2017 and will report $6.7 million cash on hand. This is Sherrod’s best off-year quarter ever, besting his previous record of $2.4 million set in the first quarter of this year. The campaign’s cash on hand is nearly double what the campaign had at this point in the 2012 election.
“The campaign’s consecutive record-setting quarters demonstrate that Ohioans trust Sherrod to fight for them, and we’re grateful for such an outpouring of support,” said Justin Barasky, Campaign Manager for Friends of Sherrod Brown. “Special interest groups are already spending money attacking Sherrod, because they know he always does what’s right for Ohio and its workers — not billionaires’ bottom lines. While it’s inevitable the other side will resort to a campaign of distortions and falsehoods, Sherrod’s strong second quarter illustrates widespread support for his reelection.”
