This week on the campaign: Here’s what you may have missed

We’re getting closer and closer to Election Day, and here on Team Sherrod, we’re only ramping up.

This week, we launched Veterans and Military Families for Sherrod, a new constituency group focused on Sherrod’s work fighting like hell for veterans, servicemembers, and their families in the Senate.

One of the ways Sherrod is working for all Ohioans—including our veterans—is by fighting hard to make sure retirees have the pensions they’ve earned.

Last week, thousands (including Sherrod) gathered in Columbus to make their voices heard on the ongoing pension crisis, which could leave 1.2 million Americans and 60,000 Ohioans at risk of not getting the pensions they deserve. Sherrod is fighting to make sure Ohioans get the dignified retirement they’ve earned. Take a look:

As his work with veterans and on pensions reminds us, Sherrod works for all Ohioans, not just the wealthy few. This week featured more bad news—including this administration’s continued sabotage of the Affordable Care Act and their declaration that “the War on Poverty is over”—but Sherrod was busy working on initiatives to tackle the opioid crisis while keeping our law enforcement safe, all while wearing a union-made suit.

Sherrod stands up for hardworking Ohioans every day in the Senate. And supporters like you are doing your part to keep him there. To celebrate the work you’re doing to help Sherrod win this fall, we launched a new contest this week. One lucky winner (and a guest!) will get to see Hamilton with Sherrod in Cleveland. Don’t throw away your shot to be there—get your name in now, or send it along to the biggest Hamilton fan you know.

As always, thank you for your support. If you’d like to get more involved in the race, take the next step by heading over to sherrodbrown.com/4.
