Dear Members of Congress,
There are 30 million people in America who have federal minimum wage jobs. They’re making $14,500 a year — hardly a livable wage.
You haven’t changed the minimum wage since 2007. These workers haven’t had a raise since the current $7.25 minimum took effect in 2009.
Raising the minimum wage is fair for workers, fair for families, and good for our economy.
I’m urging you to take immediate action to raise the minimum wage.
