Members of Congress:
Workers that make the federal minimum wage haven’t gotten a raise since 2009.
These people work hard. They struggle to provide for their families. As many as 25 percent of those making the federal minimum wage have children. Yet every day is a struggle just to pay the bills.
There is no reason why we can’t get this done. Polls show the people support it. There is no evidence that raising the federal minimum wage hurts businesses.
I urge you to raise the federal minimum wage immediately.
