Last week, the Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) said that five of the nation’s eight largest banks are still too big to fail. The Fed and the FDIC wrote that Big Banks “pose serious adverse effects to the financial stability of the United States.”
And Republicans in Congress, instead of working with us to stop what happened in 2008 from happening again, are weakening reforms meant to stop Wall Street’s recklessness.
We cannot allow this situation to continue. Congress can’t put Wall Street over Main Street any longer.
