Close the Koch Brothers Loophole

The efforts on the part of extreme Republicans to help Wall Street and other financial players engage in risky behavior aren’t always easy to spot. Sometimes they’re even disguised as something else.

In fact, this is happening in Congress right now.

Republicans claim their current effort to relax commodities oversight is intended to help farmers and ranchers hedge their bets and mitigate risk. Don’t be fooled. Farmers don’t trade in billions of swaps. But Big Oil, Wall Street, and Koch Industries do.

These are exactly the kinds of actions that got us into trouble in 2008. The GOP should know better.

Join me and tell extreme Republicans in Washington: close the Koch Brothers’ loophole, and put regular Americans before your millionaire and billionaire friends.
