The Postal Service is facing a financial crisis, and if Congress doesn’t take action to provide emergency aid, it could run out of money by this fall. That would have a serious ripple effect for our economy, our democracy, and the Dignity of Work. The USPS financial crisis threatens the jobs of the 600,000 workers employed by the USPS who are on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. It also threatens the voting rights of Americans across the country who are depending on the USPS to execute widespread vote-by-mail efforts for the upcoming elections.
It’s going to be a tough fight to put pressure on the Administration and Congress to take action, and we’ll need a strong grassroots movement to show the overwhelming support behind the Postal Service.
Add your name and demand the Trump Administration and Congress give the emergency aid the USPS and expand voting by mail for the upcoming elections.
