Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell would rather let states go bankrupt than give them the critical aid to cope with the financial distress brought on by the coronavirus. Letting states go bankrupt would make it harder for struggling workers and do even more harm to our economy.
It doesn’t have to be that way though.
