Tell Congress: Reform the International Tax Code

Pfizer, a company founded in the United States in 1849, is in talks on a merger that would move its headquarters for tax purposes overseas — resulting in the company avoiding billions in U.S. taxes.

This is known as “tax inversion.” It’s one of the many ways that companies skirt their tax obligations in the United States. And it’s completely legal.

Currently, our tax system creates incentives for corporations to ship jobs and profits overseas. It hurts our economy and deprives this country of trillions of dollars in much-needed revenue.

Not to mention, if hard-working American families can’t slip through loopholes to avoid taxes — huge corporations shouldn’t be able to either.

Add your name to mine and demand that Congress act immediately to reform our tax code and protect middle class families.
