The Great Lakes are in jeopardy again. We need all hands on deck for this.
The Trump administration released its budget and it’s bad. For the second year in a row, President Trump has proposed slashing the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative by 90 percent — from $300 million to $30 million.
The last time President Trump proposed such a drastic and misguided measure, Ohio’s elected officials in the House and Senate made a successful bipartisan effort to save funding for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
We also had the support of concerned citizens from all over the Great Lakes region. They made their voices heard by the administration and those in Congress.
Now we have to rescue Great Lakes Restoration funding again. We need you by our side, making noise. Demand the Trump administration protect the Great Lakes and keep our waterways clean.
