Brown likes one GOP health-care proposal
The Columbus Dispatch – …And the amendment at stake? Coburn, who opposes the creation of a federal health-insurance option as part of any overhaul of the health-care system, proposed that all members of Congress be required to enroll in any new government plan.
That's fine with Brown. Nobody in the Senate has pushed a federal plan harder than he has.
As Brown told the Senate on Friday, he has paid for his own health insurance since he was first elected to Congress 17 years ago.
"I look forward with great eagerness to join the public option as soon as it's available," he said.
