LaTourette, Brown say jobs are most important federal issue in 2010
The News Herald – U.S. Rep. Steven C. LaTourette and U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown agree that the most important subject for federal legislators to consider in 2010 when doing their work is the issue of jobs.

Brown, D-Ohio, said Congress must continue its focus on jobs and the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act was an important step that prevented job loss, maintained critical services and invested in Ohio's infrastructure.
"The next step is unfreezing the credit market so that more small businesses can expand operations and hire new workers," Brown said. "We need to invest in our nation's manufacturing industry and help small and midsized manufacturers retool for the clean energy economy. And we must ensure that our state's work-force development programs match the needs of high-tech and emerging industries. By building on our state's manufacturing heritage and skilled work force, we can bring the jobs of the 21st century to Ohio and rebuild our middle class."
