Senators: Don’t let climate change treaty put U.S. plants at disadvantage
Sandusky Register – With the eyes of the world on the big climate change summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, a group of nine senators led by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, have staked out the principles that would allow them to vote in favor of an international treaty and the carbon cap and trade bill.
The group sent a letter to President Barack Obama late last week, saying they support the effort against global warming but that any global agreement to control greenhouse gases must include curbs on all major economies.
