21,000 jobs unfilled because of lack of skilled workers, study finds

Dayton Daily News – A lack of science and engineering education could be making it difficult to fill existing jobs in the state and Dayton region even as unemployment remains in double digits.

Ohio’s share of degrees in science and engineering, 30.9 percent, was well behind the nation as well as at least half the states in 2009, new census data show.
