2.4M Ohioans have pre-existing conditions
Bucyrus Telegraph Forum – BUCYRUS — More than 2.4 million Ohioans under the age of 65 have pre-existing conditions that can prevent them from receiving health coverage, according to a Families USA report unveiled this week.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, said Tuesday that health reform, when fully implemented, will prevent insurance companies from discriminating against those Ohioans.
“Pre-existing condition denials plague every income group, every racial or ethnic group, and every age group,” Brown said. “That’s why enacting health reform was so critical.”
