Area workers included in federal job assistance
Toledo Blade – Federal trade assistance has been approved for 450 Ohio manufacturing workers, including those at Midwest Stamping LLC in Williams County, according to the office of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio).
The assistance, which is in addition to regular unemployment compensation, is for people whose jobs are eliminated or hours are cut because of increased imports. The program includes funds for job training, job hunting, and relocation.
