Brown Announces $8.5 Million for Walnut Street Construction Projects in Cincinnati Riverfront Park
Trading Markets – WASHINGTON, D.C. -U.S. Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced today that The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded $8.5 million in funds for construction projects on Walnut Street at Cincinnati Riverfront Park. Construction on the park is expected to begin within weeks.
"This funding will play a critical role in the ongoing revitalization of downtown Cincinnati while bringing jobs to the area," Brown said. "The Ohio River has played an important role in Cincinnati's development and this new riverfront park shows how the river will continue to play an important part in the city's future."
