Brown gets plum committee assignment

Cincinnati Enquirer – Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown announced today that he’s landed a windfall committee assignment for Ohio. He’ll be getting a seat on the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee.

George Voinovich currently serves on the committee, but he’s retiring at the end of the year. Before him, former Sen. Mike DeWine of Cedarville served on the panel.
