WLWT – EVENDALE, Ohio — GE Aircraft is trying to land contracts to build more jet engines at its Evendale facility.

Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, met Tuesday with several hundred of the manufacturer's employees to discuss his efforts to help.

Last summer, Brown helped secure more than $400 million in federal funds to create a second engine for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
