Budget includes business-tailored offerings
Dayton Daily News – WASHINGTON — President Obama’s proposed new budget includes some offerings tailored to small businesses.
The budget released on Monday, Feb. 1, sets aside $17.5 billion for loan guarantees intended to help small businesses expand operations and hire new workers, said U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.
The spending plan also proposes to shift $30 billion from the government’s bank bailout program to help community banks extend credit to small businesses. That would provide capital for covering payrolls, making purchases and hiring new employees.
