Editorial: Drop politics, help small businesses
The News Herald – Not long after the recession took hold of the U.S. economy, one of the oft-voiced complaints from small businesses was that they no longer had access to the kind of capital that could help them grow and expand because banks were no longer lending.
Small business growth tends to result in job creation, so in an attempt to address that issue, the Small Business Jobs Act was introduced in the U.S. Senate. However, the bill has stalled, and late last week President Barack Obama voiced his support and urged the Senate to pass it.
