WMFD – United States Sen. Sherrod Brown says $286,000 in federal funds has been made available for kitchen upgrades to be made at The Ohio Veterans Homes in Sandusky.

Sen. Brown said our veterans deserve first-class facilities that match the first-class service they have provided to our country. These new federal funds will cover 65 percent of the anticipated project costs, with the remainder being covered by the state.
