IRS won’t tax Ohio bonuses for veterans

The Columbus Dispatch – The federal government has decided it will not tax bonuses that Ohio is paying to thousands of veterans who served outside a combat zone during the Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan wars, two Ohio Democrats say.

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown said his office contacted the Ohio office of the IRS asking that veterans be exempted from the possible tax.
