Mansfield Fire Department Will Receive Federal Grant Money
WMFD – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown Thursday announced nearly $441,000 has been awarded to fire departments in northwest Ohio by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Assistant to Firefighters Grant Program.
The Mansfield Fire Department will receive more than $255,000 and the Portage Fire District will receive more than $185,000. Senator Brown says the funds can be used for vehicle acquisition, as well as operational and safety equipment upgrades.
