Ohio Health Centers: A One-Stop Shop for Care
Public News Service – COLUMBUS, Ohio – National Health Center Week begins Sunday with open houses, community walks and panel discussions around the state to raise awareness about the 36 community health centers in Ohio and the preventative services they provide. Health centers are often referred to as "family doctors." They've been around for more than 45 years, but now they are set to expand their quality and cost-effective care to more communities, thanks to the federal health reform law.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown says it means more people will have access to health services – all under one roof – with more choices and a regular place they can go for care.
