Ohio US Sen. Brown says Cleveland’s NASA Glenn Research Center jobs are safe from cuts

Fox 59 – CLEVELAND (AP) — New aerospace projects could help Cleveland's NASA Glenn Research Center escape job cuts in the event of trimmed-back space exploration.

Ohio's U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown said Thursday that he's been assured that the White House budget due out Monday will include enough NASA Glenn money to make up for any cuts in space programs.

Brown predicts "a significant increase in budget and jobs" for NASA Glenn, which has more than 3,400 employees and contract workers. The center has a budget of $639 million.
