One Ohio Senator Optimistic About Steel in Ohio Valley
WTRF – WHEELING — With the economy slowly showing signs of improvement, many are continuing to wonder about the future of the steel industry in the Ohio Valley.
Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, said the future is bright for the Ohio Valley's steel industry, especially with new foreign tariffs in place.
Brown said President Barack Obama has put sanctions into place against illegal foreign steel. Brown pointed to a couple of different steps that have been taken against the foreign steel and how it will help domestic steel production and sales.
