Perry Township gets $1.2 million to acquire lakeshore land
The Plain Dealer – PERRY TOWNSHIP, OHIO –Perry Township will receive more than $1.2 million in federal funds to protect 1,310 feet of lakeshore.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that $1,216,200 will be used to acquire and protect land along the shoreline.
The money was awarded to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Office of Coastal Management by the U.S. Department of Commerce's agency of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
