Polyair Workers Qualify for Trade Assistance
Business Journal Daily – YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Laid-off workers at the former Polyair Corp. plant qualify for trade adjustment assistance benefits through the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown announced Monday.
Approximately 70 workers will qualify for benefits because an increase in imports of articles like — or directly competitive with –polyethylene foam have decreased sales and production at Polyair, Brown, D-Ohio, said. The Youngstown plant closed in March, and employed 41 workers when it closed.
