Sen Brown holds ‘future’ jobs meeting
Fox Toledo – TOLEDO, Ohio – US Senator Sherrod Brown spent Tuesday afternoon in Toledo discussing "the future of Toledo." He provided an update on federal efforts to create jobs in the region during a round table with community and government leaders.
Sen. Brown outlined his efforts to bring new clean energy jobs to Northwest Ohio and help small businesses expand operations and hire new employees. He said that the future of Toledo and Northwest Ohio depends on clean energy jobs and helping small business.
“Northwest Ohio is leading the country in the production and commercialization of clean energy technology,” he said. “By working together, we can bring new clean energy jobs to the state and reinvigorate Ohio’s manufacturing industry. That means we need to unfreeze the credit market for small businesses and manufacturers and promote the domestic production of clean energy technology.”
