Sen. Brown visits Newark to mark recently awarded COPS grant
Newark Advocate – NEWARK — Sen. Sherrod Brown credited Newark with building the police department necessary to obtain grants during a Thursday press conference.
Earlier this month, Newark officials announced they had received a $420,000 COPS Hiring Program Grant to pay for two police officers, including benefits, for three years.
