Senator: Loss of 3C rail money hurts Ohio
Mansfield News Journal – WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) expressed disappointment Thursday that Ohio's share of funding for high-speed rail would be going to 12 other states.
The Obama administration announced Thursday that it was taking back $400 million earmarked for Ohio because Republican Gov.-elect John Kasich killed a project that would have created passenger train service linking Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said.
