Sherrod Brown to tour tornado ravaged Wood County Friday
WTOL – MILLBURY, OH (WTOL) – US Senator Sherrod Brown will check out tornado damage in Wood County Friday.
Congressman Bob Latta will tour parts of Fulton County, too.
Brown will discuss federal efforts to assist in clean-up after he is briefed at Millbury Fire Station at 2 p.m. He will also meet with emergency management officials and community leaders.
Brown, Senator George Voinovich, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur and Congressman Bob Latta sent a letter to President Obama in support of Gov. Ted Strickland's request for a federal major disaster declaration for Wood, Ottawa and Fulton counties earlier this week.
Strickland he submitted a 9-page letter to President Obama requesting more than $1.3 million in federal aid to help with storm cleanup.
