Students sit down with Sen. Brown

The Independent Collegian – With only 63 percent of bachelor degree holders and 56 percent of graduate degree holders still living in Ohio after graduation, there has been a call for change in terms of offering job opportunities and career advancement within the state.

This call to reverse the “brain drain” was brought to UT when United States Sen. Sherrod Brown visited UT Tuesday lead a student panel in a discussion about the future of college affordability and ways to keep college graduates in Ohio

Vice President of External Affairs Larry Burns defined the brain drain as “not utilizing people’s full capacity.”
