Two Ohio lawmakers work to improve Veteran’s services
WFMJ – WASHINGTON, DC – Two Ohio lawmakers are pushing for new legislation aimed at improving Veteran's services.
Senator Sherrod Brown said the bill would expand access to services and benefits to Veterans in Appalachia which includes Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
Brown said that "It's not just about hooking Veterans up with federal resources. There are hundreds of private resources, non-profit resources, people willing to lend a helping hand to a Veteran. That money is left on the table. The benefits are untapped and the opportunity lost for far too many people who served their country."
