Area officials sound off on State of the Union
The News Herald – "We can debate how to do that and how to meet goals, but goals must be met. Digging our country out of this fiscal mess will be tough and will require sacrifice, but we must commit to it and vow to fix it so it won't happen again."
Brown said the President made clear that challenges remain, but underscored that fact with the right tone and focus.
"President Obama's speech sent a clear message: Working together, we can ensure that America can continue to out-compete and out-innovate any country in the world," Brown said.
"As the president said tonight, ‘we do big things' in America — and nowhere is that more true than in Ohio. The president understands that we need to continue to help small businesses and manufacturers expand operations and hire new workers."
