Brown Hosts Tele-Town Hall Meeting with Seniors
Portsmouth Daily Times – More than 10,000 Ohio seniors in Scioto, Lawrence, Adams, Pike, Jackson, Gallia, Ross, and Vinton Counties participated in a tele-town hall with U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) Tuesday morning. The call was the third in a series of tele-townhalls Brown will hold with constituents on a regional basis.
“Medicare and Social Security have allowed Americans to live longer, healthier lives and retire with dignity,” Brown said. “We owe it to our children and grandchildren to reduce the deficit. But we need to do this in a way that doesn’t undermine the Medicare and Social Security benefits their grandparents have earned.”
