UC, Cincinnati State among six Ohio schools to win federal grants

Business Courier – The University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College are among six educational institutions in Ohio to win funding under the U.S. Education Department’s TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers program.

UC received $263,047 through the program, and Cincinnati State received $230,000.

The money is designed to improve access to affordable higher education.

“Ohio’s impressive network of community colleges and universities plays an integral role in connecting displaced workers, veterans and working Ohioans with the resources needed to earn a college degree,” U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown said in a release.
