Cracking down on Rx theft
WTAM – Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown is leading a fight to crackdown on drug robberies and stiffen the penalties for pharmaceutical theft.
During a news conference Sunday at Ohliger Drug in Fairview Park, Brown outlined the Strengthening and Focusing Enforcement to Deter Organized Stealing and Enhance Safety (SAFE DOSES) Act.
The bill would toughen penalties for pharmaceutical theft and would include the theft of prescription painkillers and other drugs under federal anti racketeering laws.
