Genesis Receives New Federal Designation
WHIZ – A new designation will bring more federal resources to the Genesis Health Care System.
Senator Sherrod Brown announced Tuesday that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has labeled Genesis as a Sole Community Hospital.
The SCH designation allows the hospital to receive increased Medicare reimbursement, resulting in $6 million more revenue.
