Grant funds get North Ridgeville new fire engine
Morning Journal – NORTH RIDGEVILLE — A 1981 fire engine will soon no longer have a home at the North Ridgeville fire station as the department makes way for a new pumper, funded mostly by a federal grant.
The fire department received word early yesterday it would receive $270,000 in federal grant money from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighters program. The department will officially be awarded the funding on Friday.
