Grant to aid fire department
Times Reporter – UHRICHSVILLE, OH — The Uhrichsville Fire Department received word Wednesday from U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown that they will receive a grant for $130,734 for equipment and materials.
Brown said the grant has been awarded by the U. S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grants program.
Uhrichsville Fire Chief Art Tripp said Wednesday that the application for the grant was filed last summer. The funds will be used to purchase new mobile and portable radios, air packs, and other training equipment and materials.
