Highway spending offered big boost in Obama’s budget plan
Columbus Dispatch – WASHINGTON – If you build roads for a living, you'll love President Barack Obama's new budget. If you have trouble paying your heating bills, you won't.
The White House's proposed $3.73 trillion spending plan for the 2012 federal fiscal year that begins in October calls for a major increase in highway spending, boosting federal outlays for roads in Ohio by more than 70 percent, from $1.3 billion this year to $2.2 billion next year.
