Living Water Ministries gets grant to help improve nutrition programs for children
Journal News – Living Water Ministries in Hamilton is among six Ohio locations which will receive federal grant funding to help improve nutrition programs for children in the summer months, according to U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown’s office.
The six organizations will be awarded portions of more than $329,725 in grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, according to Brown’s office.
The funds, awarded to the Ohio Department of Education, are aimed at improving the Summer Food Service Program. The program, which provides nutritious meals to low-income children during the summer, is administered by ODE and run locally by approved sponsors that include school districts, nonprofit organizations and local government agencies.
